However, an exceptional moment during the evening occurred when Jennifer Lopez and Maluma took the stage to perform their collaborative masterpiece “Pa’ Ti + Lonely” for the very first time. This mesmerizing performance held an extra significance as the song also serves as a soundtrack for their highly anticipated film, “Marry Me.”

The performance was absolutely captivating, featuring captivating dance moves, mesmerizing light effects, and an intense connection between Lopez and Maluma. But really, why should we be worried? The criticism surrounding this performance reminded me so much of how people were outraged over Lopez and Shakira’s 2020 Super Bowl halftime show. There was nothing in it that was any more suggestive than what male performers have been doing for years. They only faced backlash because they’re women. It’s just not fair.
