Neymar’s sensational summer transfer to Saudi Arabia comes with a load of perks, including a huge £2.5million-a-week contract.

Neymar, 31, has quit European football to join Al-Hilal on a two-year deal, with the option of a further 12 months. The Saudi Pro League side have paid €90million (£77.6m) to sign the 124-cap Brazil international from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

“I’ve achieved a lot in Europe and enjoyed special times, but I have always wanted to be a global player and test myself with new challenges and opportunities in new places,” said Neymar, who won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015.

Neymar is arguably the biggest footballer to join the Saudi revolution in their theoretical prime. It’s claimed he’s been offered several attractive perks to leave the European game behind and put his dream of a second European Cup on halt.

According to The Sun, Neymar has received three luxury cars from his new employers, who have also given his entourage four Mercedes G Wagons and a Mercedes van. Neymar and his loved ones will also have their own driver available 24/7.

The superstar’s three luxury cards are believed to be a Bentley Continental GP, an Aston Martin DBX and a Lamborghini Huracan, worth more than half-a-million-pound combined.

Al-Hilal have given Neymar a fabulous home. It’s believed the fridge will always be stocked with Acai juice and Guarana drinks for his nearest and dearest to enjoy. The pad will also have three saunas and five full-time workers, including a cook and cleaners.

The property will also have 25 rooms and a swimming pool that is at least 10 metres large and 40 metres long. Neymar will also be given a private jet.

Furthermore, the Saudis will cover Neymar’s expenses when he stays in hotels and visits restaurants, despite his huge £2.5m weekly wage. Neymar will pocket £173.8m per year after joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the Middle East.

Ballon d’Or winners Ronaldo (£3.4m-a-week) and Benzema (£3.3m-a-week) remain the best paid players in Saudi Arabia, although several other high-profile footballers are also earning big in the country. The likes of Jordan Henderson, Ruben Neves, N’Golo Kante, Fabinho, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino have received big contracts.

“I want to write new sporting history, and the Saudi Pro League has tremendous energy and quality players at the moment,” added Neymar. “I have heard a lot and learned that I am following a long list of Brazilian players who have played in Saudi Arabia over the years, so I believe it is the desired place.”

PSG’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has paid tribute to Neymar. He said: “It is always difficult to say goodbye to an amazing player like Neymar, one of the best players in the world. I will never forget the day he arrived at Paris St-Germain, and what he has contributed to our club and our project over the last six years.”
