An assistant coach at Inter Miami revealed Lionel Messi’s injury situation.
After leaving the March 13 match against Nashville in the CONCACAF Champions Cup due to injury, Lionel Messi has been sidelined ever since.
The 2022 World Cup champion missed the March international break with La Albiceleste, and the latest was Inter Miami’s loss to CF Monterrey in the quarterfinals of the first leg of the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
However, this weekend could mark Messi’s return if his fitness level allows him to play.
Inter Miami assistant coach Javi Morales told reporters: “Messi is getting better every day, as Tata Martino said. He trains every day; we will see how Messi feels today. Then a decision will be made.”
“Messi trains every day with the physio and on the field. Sometimes, depending on how he feels,. Recently, Messi has been participating in training sessions, so his health is better.”
“We will see how he feels in training. If he feels good, I am sure Tata will count on him, whether it is 10 minutes, 15 minutes, or 45 minutes. We want him.”

Inter Miami will meet Colorado at 6:30 a.m. on April 7 in the MLS. If Messi can mark his return to the field in this match, it will be a great motivation for the Herons. They will need Messi’s excellence as well as his leadership ability in attack.
More importantly, however, if Inter Miami wants to advance to the CONCACAF Champions Cup semi-finals, they will need Messi to play as long as possible in the second leg against Monterrey.
This season, Inter Miami has struggled extremely without Messi. Specifically, they lost three recent matches without the services of the Argentine striker.
