CNN has released a surveillance video of American rapper Sean Diddy Combs physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura popularly known as Cassie during an argument by the then-couple in March 2016.

The video backs up the lawsuit Cassie filed accusing Diddy of subjecting her to years of physical violence but was later settled in November 2023.

Cassie alleged that shortly after she and Diddy met in 2005 up until 2018, the rapper plied her with drugs and alcohol. He sexually and physically abused her while forcing her to sleep with male prostitutes. 

In the video, Cassie is seen leaving the hotel room and Diddy wrapped in a towel runs after her, grabs her by the neck, throws her to the floor then proceeds to kick her.

Cassie then stays on the floor while the rapper picks up her suitcase and purse near the elevator then drags her back to the room.

Cassie manages to reach for a hotel phone near the elevators and then Diddy appears again shoving her forcefully to a corner.

The rapper is seen throwing an object which looks like a vase at Cassie.

Since the video went viral, Cassie declined to comment on the video however her lawyer Douglas H. Wigdor described the video as gut-wrenching stating that it further confirms the “disturbing and predatory behaviour” of Sean Diddy Combs.

“Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” said Wigdor.

Combs has not made any statement since the release of the video.
