His side are 3-0, but they do have a number of issues to contend with, including injuries.
The issues around Travis Kelce’s form have also proved a problem, with his tight end way off the pace.
There has been calls for him to bench the 34-year-old, whose stats are way down this year.
But Chiefs boss Reid is adamant that Kelce is part of his plans for the Chargers clash on Sunday, and going forward.
His only problem is with a calf injury to Michael Danna, who he has officially ruled out of the game.
“We’ve really just got Michael Danna, the only one,” Reid said.
“After our walk-through, that calf was bothering him.
“We’ll probably end up holding him out of the game until we get that thing calmed down a little bit.”
The former Michigan defensive end had 12 and a half sacks on the season before the injury.
And it likely means a start for ex-Arizona Cardinals man Cameron Thomas in that position.
He usually plays as a linebacker, but is at his best when a pass rusher.
The 22-year-old had 40 tackles, three sacks, and a fumble recovery in his two-year career with the Cardinals.
Meanwhile, the issues around Kelce continue to mount up.
He has just eight catches for 69 yards in a dreadful start to the season.
They are the lowest three game figures of his Hall of Fame-worthy career to date.
And that has led to calls for him to be benched, with many blaming popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift for his problems.
