Before rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and extortion, his son, Christian Combs, had also been accused of sexual misconduct.
In April 2024, Christian Combs was named in a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault. The suit also implicated Diddy himself, leading many to speculate that the two incidents were closely linked.
Details of the Lawsuit
According to CNN, the 31-page lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by the plaintiff’s lawyer, Grace O’Marcaigh. The plaintiff, described as a server and bartender, claimed the assault occurred aboard a yacht rented by Diddy’s family in December 2022. Initially advertised as a “family-friendly vacation,” the trip allegedly turned into a “hedonistic environment” where celebrities and sex workers were brought onboard.
The lawsuit alleges that in the early morning hours of December 28, Christian Combs forced O’Marcaigh to drink a tequila shot and then assaulted her. She believes the drink may have been drugged. The attack reportedly took place in a temporary recording studio on the yacht, with audio evidence cited in the complaint, where Combs allegedly pressured her to drink. After cornering her and becoming aggressive, he stopped only when another staff member entered the room. Photographs attached to the lawsuit showed bruising on the plaintiff’s arms, supporting her claims.
Impact and Response
Following the incident, O’Marcaigh experienced significant mental and physical distress, including anxiety and panic attacks. Although Diddy was not directly accused of sexual assault in this lawsuit, he was held responsible for facilitating the environment in which it took place.
Both Sean and Christian Combs’ legal teams have called the accusations “fabricated lies and unrelated events,” stating their intention to seek dismissal of the lawsuit. Despite the denials, the allegations remain a part of a broader legal challenge facing Diddy, whose homes in Los Angeles and Miami have been searched by federal investigators in connection with multiple criminal claims.
This case adds to the growing legal pressures on Sean Combs, who is also battling other lawsuits accusing him of deviant sexual behavior and illegal activities. However, he has continued to deny all accusations against him.
