Jenny Marrs is officially in her author era. The HGTV star has just released her book Trust God, Love People, a memoir that highlights her connection to her faith. To celebrate her book launch, Jenny gave fans a glimpse at a deleted scene of Fixer to Fabulous, honoring her first book, House + Love = Home

The clip starts with her husband, Dave, building a swing for one of their clients’ homes, but Jenny quickly comes in with their youngest son, Luke, and a big box in tow. Jenny opens up the package and reveals it’s her first time ever seeing her book in person.

“For the past year and a half, I would say, I’ve been working on a book,” Jenny says in the clip. “It’s my first book. It just got here, and I finally have it printed. It still doesn’t feel real.” At its core, Jenny’s first book is all about how to transform a mere house into a home. “Not trying to make a perfect place,” she shares. “But a place that is welcoming, warm, and is good for your family and for the people [who] come into your home.”

Though Jenny wrote House + Love = Home, Dave says this milestone is a major win for the entire Marrs family. “The kids sat still for pictures, they cleaned up the house,” he adds in the clip. “It’s the whole family pitching in because we’re all so very proud.”

Trust God, Love People might’ve been many months in the making; however, Jenny is still amazed that it’s time to share it with the world. “It’s the book my soul had to write,” the HGTV star wrote in her Instagram caption. “The design book was so fun, but this next one is my heart on the page.”

Of course, Jenny’s many fans are cheering her on along the way. “I’m reading the book now,” one commented. “Love it.
