âAlmost every single case of measles is in someone whoâs not vaccinated. I think youâre the perfect person to say sorry,” the outspoken Democratic advocate said.

Talk about family drama.
Jack Schlossberg took to his Instagram on Thursday to share some choice words for actress Cheryl Hines, who is also his cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr.âs wife, regarding the recent death of an unvaccinated child in Texas due to a measles outbreak.
âHey Cheryl Hines, itâs Jack Schlossberg, I just got out of the shower,â he said in the video. âWeâve never met, but Iâve got a favor to ask. I need you to call up the family of the child who died of measles, and say sorry. Can you do that for me, babe?âHe continued, âAlmost every single case of measles is in someone whoâs not vaccinated. I think youâre the perfect person to say sorry.â
A rep for Hines declined to comment on Schlossbergâs remarks when contacted by The Hollywood Reporter.

Schlossberg, who is late President John F. Kennedyâs grandson and an outspoken Democratic advocate, has previously criticized Kennedy Jr. for being vocal about his anti-vaccine perspective. Kennedy Jr. was recently confirmed as President Donald Trumpâs Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Last week, the first U.S. death from measles since 2015 was confirmed by state officials in Texas when a child who wasnât vaccinated died from the highly contagious â but preventable â respiratory disease, the Associated Press reported. The death was part of an ongoing outbreak in the state. And on Thursday, health officials in New Mexico announced that an unvaccinated adult who was infected with measles had died, though the cause of death has yet to be confirmed, ABC News reported.
When asked about the measles outbreak last week, Kennedy Jr. was initially dismissive, calling it ânot unusual.â However, he backtracked shortly after in an editorial published by Fox News on Sunday, saying the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine âis crucial to avoiding potentially deadly disease.â
As for Hines, while she has previously expressed disdain for Trump since his first term, she decided to stand by her husband when he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race and endorsed the now-president. She also hasnât publicly shared her viewpoints on vaccines, though she told The Hollywood Reporter last year that she did receive the COVID-19 vaccine, unlike Kennedy Jr.
âI did what I needed to do to work,â the Curb Your Enthusiasm actress said at the time. âIf I wasnât working, would things be different? Maybe. Iâm not the kind of person that gets the flu shot.â
