Talk about family drama.
Jack Schlossberg took to his Instagram on Thursday to share some choice words for actressĀ Cheryl Hines, who is also his cousinĀ Robert F. Kennedy Jr.ās wife, regarding the recent death of an unvaccinated child in Texas due to a measles outbreak.
āHey Cheryl Hines, itās Jack Schlossberg, I just got out of the shower,ā he said in the video. āWeāve never met, but Iāve got a favor to ask. I need you to call up the family of the child who died of measles, and say sorry. Can you do that for me, babe?āHe continued, āAlmost every single case of measles is in someone whoās not vaccinated. I think youāre the perfect person to say sorry.ā

Schlossberg, who is late President John F. Kennedyās grandson and an outspoken Democratic advocate, has previously criticized Kennedy Jr. for being vocal about his anti-vaccine perspective. Kennedy Jr. was recently confirmed as President Donald Trumpās Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Last week, the first U.S. death from measles since 2015 was confirmed by state officials in Texas when a child who wasnāt vaccinated died from the highly contagious ā but preventable ā respiratory disease, theĀ Associated PressĀ reported. The death was part of an ongoing outbreak in the state. And on Thursday, health officials in New Mexico announced that an unvaccinated adult who was infected with measles had died, though the cause of death has yet to be confirmed,Ā ABC NewsĀ reported.
When asked about the measles outbreak last week, Kennedy Jr. was initially dismissive, calling it ānot unusual.ā However, he backtracked shortly after in an editorialĀ published by Fox NewsĀ on Sunday, saying the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine āis crucial to avoiding potentially deadly disease.ā
As for Hines, while she has previouslyĀ expressed disdain for TrumpĀ since his first term, she decided to stand by her husband when he dropped out of the 2024 presidential race andĀ endorsed the now-president. She also hasnāt publicly shared her viewpoints on vaccines, though she toldĀ The Hollywood ReporterĀ last year that she did receive the COVID-19 vaccine, unlike Kennedy Jr.
āI did what I needed to do to work,ā theĀ Curb Your EnthusiasmĀ actress said at the time. āIf I wasnāt working, would things be different? Maybe. Iām not the kind of person that gets the flu shot.ā
