Neymar helped the Selecao take the lead at the end of the first extra period , but Bruno Petkovic leveled the score with just over 3 minutes left in the second extra period.

After the loss, midfielder Silva could not hide his pain when he said: “I have experienced another disappointment in my life and lost the opportunity to conquer the championship cup, which makes me very heartbroken. But we must try to keep our heads high and carry on. There’s no other way”.
The Brazilian captain added that his team suddenly became subjective and played without determination, leading to the loss: “I think we suddenly lost focus. We became a bit disorganized and that’s what led to the goal.”
