Since Selena Gomez launched Rare Beauty in 2020, the brand has taken on a mental health initiative. One of the biggest efforts Gomez and the brand have put forth is the Rare Impact Fund. The donation drive aims to raise $100 million over the course of ten years so that mental health resources can be provided to youth regardless of socioeconomic class.
“The Rare Impact Fund is committed to expanding access to mental health services and education for young people everywhere. We work with a strong network of supporters and experts to bring mental health resources into educational settings that reach young people. Because no one—regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, or background—should struggle alone,” Gomez wrote in her letter as the Rare Impact Fund founder.
Now, Selena Gomez, Rare Beauty and the Rare Impact Fund are taking it a step further with help from Sephora. In an Instagram video, Gomez talked about the importance of mental health to her and her brand. She then announced that Sephora will be donating all of Rare Beauty’s sales to the Rare Impact Fund for 24 hours to honor World Mental Health Day on October 10. She even provided an update on their success as well. According to Gomez, the Rare Impact Fund has given resources to 25 recipients and expanded their outreach globally since the launch in 2020.
“Please join me on October 10th by shopping Rare Beauty at Sephora, online or in-store. Together, we can #MakeARarelmpact,” Gomez wrote in her Instagram caption.
We don’t have to be asked twice, especially when there’s an important cause involved. We rounded up some of our all-time favorite Rare Beauty products to shop. Make sure to bookmark and set a reminder for October 10, so you can get the best of Rare Beauty and do a good deed all at once.
